Ernest Bennett Saws approached Ion several years ago and, after a four-way pitch, we won the contract to evolve their well-established brand identity.

We needed to combine 70 years of brand heritage with a modern-day Magento eCommerce platform, enabling the company to sell its hugely successful band saws, circular saws and other products in an easy-to-operate fashion.

Ion are Magento specialists and champion the platform over other eCommerce solutions; we were able to build a fully styled platform for Ernest Bennett.

The ease of use of the backend for the site impressed Ernest Bennett Saws, with the stock control features a main selling point.

Ion’s visual design for the site incorporated a ‘saw tooth’ element to the page titles and menus, with a clean and subtle finish, while several days’ worth of on-site photography at Ernest Bennett allowed us to produce a visual catalogue and supporting banner  and shopping cart graphics.

Our developers were also able to produce the code for a new, double function previously unachieved in Magento, which we later released to the open-source community for other companies to benefit on.
